return of the verse

it's a short one, but sometimes that's what it takes to break through. . .

cross

one line over
the other missteps
misfires the thought
of lord and paper
stranded you place
the card here for

me to read burn gold
foil embossed forget
about the fold it stands
hurting my teeth
just looking at it

For me, the beauty of this poem lies in its unassuming use of verb/noun words - place, foil, fold.
Thank you for your compliment on my blog. Don't be a stranger. :)
